The game was made to look incredibly scary for what was supposed to be a bright and happy kid, Sonic.EXE is a dark and scary game that was supposed to make people feel the same way with the protagonist, a main character that had no name and was known by the fan name, Sonic, despite not actually being Sonic. It was said that the game was made by the user, MY5TCrimson, who is a popular Gamejolt user that made many other games as well.
Sonic.EXE, like so many games, hit the internet and all the creepy stories got started. Now, I've already talked about the Sonic Creepypasta in the past, but the stories have been making a comeback now that the game is popular again. The game was first released in 2016, the year of the Sonic Creepypasta. The second time around, the stories came out in 2018 and it has been recently that some new ones have been recorded. So, let's get into it!
When you first play, you'll see a dark, scary, and a bit scary story, like most. Sonic the Hedgehog is playing a game called Sonic.EXE, which means that he is playing a version of his game in which all of his friends have been turned into ghosts. And, just like that, Sonic is creeped out. However, he ignores it and presses forward, but the ghosts appear again and turn on him.
The Sonic Creepypasta has been around for a long time. However, with it's popularity, a lot of versions have been made. The most popular one is Sonic.EXE, created by Gamejolt user MY5TCrimson. By the time he was done, he had dozens of hours of game play and created dozens of stories, more than one has been written . Together with Sonic.EXE, there are other versions of Sonic creepypasta out there too, but I won't be talking about those.
